The Santa Monica Public Library subscribes to several databases which contain interesting and useful information. To access these databases at home you must enter your library card number, including the PSMP at the beginning of the card number and any punctuation or bold numbers at the end of the card number. Greenwood: Daily Life through History Greenwood: Daily Life through History provides a broad range of top-notch trustworthy information about daily life through the ages that can be used to fulfil a variety of assignments. Greenwood: World Folklore and Folklife Folklore permeates the everyday lives of people around the world. We inherit a rich tradition of holidays, festivals, language, stories and fairy tales, proverbs, foodways and folk remedies that define our society and our place within it. Greenwood: World Folklore and Folklife provides an exciting and accessible way to explore this treasury of knowledge. Gale Student Resource Center The Gale Student Resource Center is designed for middle school and high school students. However the database does have information that may be useful for 4th and 5th graders. eLibrary elementary ProQuest's eLibrary Elementary is directed toward elementary school and middle school reading skills and assignments. World Book Online Reference Center The World Book Online Reference Center provides online access to encyclopedia articles, dictionary entrys, images, and maps.
